The objective of this course is to instruct real estate agents in the fundamentals of real estate contracts and addenda. This course covers the fundamentals of real estate contracts and addenda, those promulgated or produced by the Texas Real Estate Commission and those produced by the Texas Association of REALTORS®. The course will focus on contracts and addenda relating to residential property. This will be a basics course and will begin with offer and acceptance and basic contract formation.
This course is essential and relevant to all real estate license holders as it explores the most frequently used contract in Texas real estate transactions: the TREC one-to-four family residential resale contract. License holders will learn how to advise clients to complete the contract allowing for the most protection for themselves as well as the agent. Real estate agents will be able to apply the knowledge they learn from this course directly to their real estate business when explaining the contract, its parameters, and its intent to clients.

In this course you will learn how property taxes pertain to real estate transactions. You will gain a better understanding of how the property tax cycle effects closings, how to use the tax cycle for marketing, and how to identify property tax prorations on closing statements.

This course will serve as an introduction to the new homes sales market for real estate sales agents. The course consists of three modules to address what a buyer’s representative needs to know in order to succeed at representing buyers in the new-home sales market. Students will gain an understanding of the new home sales process and the type of services the buyer needs. They will also learn where and how to find new home sales business.
The goal of this course is to help licensees gain the product and transaction knowledge needed in order to guide buyer-clients through the steps and processes for purchase, construction, and customization of a new home. Licensees will learn to effectively interact with new home builders and sales representatives to protect clients’ interests while developing productive business relationships.

If payment is not received by the due date:
MLS Dues Billing: $25 late fee will apply for all dues paid after the due date listed above; staff does not have the authority to waive late fees.
Association Dues Billing: $25 late fee will be assessed to all dues received after due date listed above. Association dues ARE NOT prorated if dues were paid the prior year.
If reapplying within three months of inactivity (MLS):
If reapplying before three months of inactivity, the member will pay prorated MLS dues based on the month they are reactivating, and the member will be charged the $25 late fee and $50 reconnect fee if no notification was given to FRAR in writing regarding dropping MLS services; if notification was given to FRAR regarding dropping MLS then only a $50 reactivation fee plus prorated dues will be charged.
If reapplying after three months of inactivity (MLS):
Change of Office fee (if changing brokers) $35.00
